This is not a long article. I just have some quick questions about The Fort Hood shootings that people may want to start asking themselves.
This soldier, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, walks into a military processing center and randomly opens fire on young innocent troops. Okay... why the soldier processing center? There are many unarmed soldiers throughout any military base, especially on one as big as Fort Hood. Why That location?
An active duty Major starts shooting young soldiers. In the preliminary reports, I have not heard anyone say that they expected something like this from this man. No one has produced any initial reports about this mans history, besides his professional status and his previous post. If you compare this case to other cases of mass murder by a civillian, the news programs usually put out information and eye witness accounts that gives a basic personality profile that links the suspect to his crimes. In this case they are only repeating that he has an Islamic name (not that he is a practicing Islamic Muslim) and that he killed and wounded young soldiers.
Why was this Major moved from Walter Reed Army Medical hospital? Initial reports say that Major Hasan was recently transferred from Walter Reed. What was his work there? Are there any soldiers that worked with him at the hospital that can provide more information about him personally and professionally?
It's strange that a psychiatric doctor would lose his mind and start killing people in the open. Why didn't this highly educated, professional mental health expert have any fear of being caught or killed while carrying out his crime?
These are just a couple of questions to ask yourself while the details of this crime are being sorted out and released to the public.
I want you folks out the to remember something about this situation. Right now, in this first night of reporting on this incident, most of the media outlets are pushing a couple of key points: they are continuously repeating that this man is a high ranking Army official with an Islamic name, the reports are stressing that he used handguns (handguns in the hands of domestic military enemies), and that he was not alone (as in there is more out there). Sounds like something else the government is going to have to protect us from... again. I wonder if we'll have to give up any more rights? This could be a serious one folks.

Another tragedy has hit the U.S. in the form of another mass shooting. In Fort Hood, Texas (a U.S. Army military base) Major Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire in a soldier processing center for new recruits and killed 13 people and wounded at least 30 others. Fort Hood is under lock down and the incident is almost sure to have an effect on all of us. Details of the tragedy are still being gathered.
On the international front, a funny thing is happening in Palestine. Their President Mahmoud Abbas will not run for reelection for his office. There aren't any young Palestinian politicians trying to take his place. That's not a good sign for the Palestinian people. Their leaders no longer want the responsibility of leading their people... why? I wonder if they see an impending disaster coming that's preventing their leaders from wanting to be the one to lead the nation into destruction.
Have you got your Obama shot yet? That's my little nickname for the H1N1 flu vaccine. Some of the major news outlets are really pushing the idea that they do not have enough vaccine to go around to everyone. If you're going to get it you may want to hurry. The D.C. Sniper, John Allen Muhammad, is set to be executed on November 10, 2009 at 9pm est. Muhammad, the mastermind behind the sniper attacks in Washington D.C. in 2002, showed no remorse for the crimes he was convicted of, and still claims to be innocent. Muhammad along with his accomplice Lee Boyd Malvo, who is serving a life sentence in prison, killed at least ten people and wounded several more in the attacks. Muhammad's life may be spared on the grounds of being mentally diseased if Gov. Tim Kaine of Virginia grants him a stay of execution.
Once again the unemployment numbers are high. Another hundred thousand plus jobs are gone out of our economy. The national unemployment numbers are reported at about 10.2 % for the year. Many in the economic world believe those numbers are higher than fifteen percent. I have a silly question. What is driving this recent economic upswing we're having in the U.S. I always thought that production drove economic progress. If there is less jobs, then there is less production. I guess we're producing magic right now.
